Bradley Edwards, MD, of Fondren Orthopedic Group in Houston has uploaded a video to VuMedi (linked here) in which he presents surgical video showing application of SuperCable® in a revision shoulder arthroplasty for peri-prosthetic fracture case. As you know, VuMedi is a very popular video-sharing platform for orthopedic surgeons, so this will create increased visibility for this great product that we all sell!
Please view the full 6 minute video and then please share the video on any social media platforms you are active on and that are viewed by fellow medical professionals and surgeons in your network. (Side Note: The more views we can generate on VuMedi, the more likely they are to share the video in one of their newsletters, which exponentially amplifies the reach to surgeons).
During the video, Dr. Edwards discusses a number of the benefits of the Iso-elastic polymer cable material, noting that the material is more tissue-friendly due to this elasticity and noting that it reduces the chance for surgeon glove tears as well as patient soft tissue irritation (in particular, to the radial nerve in this application).
He also mentions that, when needed, the cable can easily be further tensioned after initial placement and locking.
